Checking your OCRS
Every operator has an Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS), which rates the operator based on how compliant they are. Operators are rated as grey (no data), green (low risk), amber (medium risk) or red (high risk); if your score is amber or red you are more likely to have your vehicles pulled over by VOSA enforcement officers.
Your OCRS reflects your compliance history in respect of roadworthiness and driving hours regulations. Occurrences such as prohibitions, convictions, MOT fails etc can all affect your OCRS.
Since this score can effect your operation and cause disruptions, it’s a good idea to check your score and bring it down if possible, but how do you check your score? Checking your score is fairly simple and there are two ways you can do it:
- Send an email to top.registrations@vosa.gov.uk quoting your Operator’s Licence number and asking for your OCRS.
- Complete this form (click here) to register and send it to VOSA. They will contact you once your registration is complete.
Please note that someone named on the Operating Licence (Director, Partner, Proprietor or Transport Manager) must complete this form.
